Are you searching for an experienced, proven San Francisco STD transmission attorney? Did you receive an STD such as Herpes, HIV or HPV from a partner without any warning prior to intimate contact?
Here in California, transmitting an STD without advance warning is a civil offense. My name is Rivers Morrell, and I’ve worked on personal injury cases such as an unwarranted STD transmission for more than 40 years. We have successfully resolved many cases our own clients thought were impossible to prove. One of our clients visited 9 attorneys before we finally met. They said she didn’t have a case. They were wrong.
It is absolutely possible to hold a person of substance, from an athlete to a business owner, from a college professor to a member of the clergy, man or woman, not only responsible but financially accountable for transmitting an STD to you without advance warning.
Helping my clients to move from a place of hopelessness to a place of empowerment is one of the most important and fulfilling aspects of my work as an STD transmission civil attorney. My clients enjoy the easy, direct access to me through texts, emails and cell phone calls – or a visit to my offices. They appreciate the manner with which I protect their dignity and privacy, while resolving their case to provide the financial resources needed to manage the impact of herpes and move forward positively with their life.
I invite you to review the strong recommendations of our clients and the legal industry as well as the successful verdicts and settlements I have achieved at trial on behalf of my clients, and If you have been given a sexually transmitted disease by a partner without warning I can help you to stand up to them and recover for the challenges you will face in the coming months and years. Reliable STD Tests
One of the questions we frequently are asked is what kind of reliable STD test should be chosen? Can a test tell me when I contracted the virus? Should I have a blood test, and/or a culture test?
One of the most important tests to get immediately is an IgG blood test. If this is negative, then this would suggest that the transmission of the Herpes virus is recent. At this same time, you should also get an IgM blood test. This test will be positive before the IgG blood test is positive, and over time, it will become negative. So if you have a negative IgG and a positive IgM, this is more evidence that the transmission is recent.
If the IgG is negative early on, then wait a month to 6 weeks, and get another IgG blood test.
One must be careful about “false negatives”. That is, the test comes back negative, but it is in error. A blood test looks for the body’s reaction to the Herpes infection/virus. That is, when the body has the Herpes infection/virus, the body tries to fight this off by producing certain antibodies. And the blood test is looking for those antibodies.
So you want an early IgG blood test, and presumably it is negative, and then get one later, and if it is negative again, wait again, and get another IgG blood test.
We are trying to narrow down the window so we will be able to prove from whom you contracted the Herpes virus.
The blood test is known to have too many false positives. It can sometimes take up to 2 to 3 months for the test to detect the antibodies that are created to fight off the virus/infection. If you test too early, you might have a false negative. That is, the test is negative, but it is only because the body has not yet produced enough antibodies as of the time of the test, to be detected by the test. The test will very, very likely be a “false negative” in the first month.
On the other hand, when you do a culture test, you are looking directly for the Herpes virus. These reliable STD tests are considered the “gold standard” in testing for Herpes, particularly HSV 2 (genital herpes), if it is positive. The culture test can tell you if you have HSV-1, or HSV-2. A culture test takes a swab from the symptom (lesion), and that is tested. However, the timing on the test is critical, and often you can get “false negatives”. This can happen if you test when the lesion is too small, or already beginning to heal, or the test is too early in the development of the lesion.
To further explain this, please contact our office. These tests can make or break your case.
