A young woman was killed when she was ejected from a vehicle during a fatal car accident that occurred in Tustin on the I-5 freeway. The deceased party was a passenger in a Honda Civic that was driving on the southbound I-5 near the First Street exit, when the driver of that vehicle collided into the back of a big rig truck. The accident caused the passenger to be ejected from the Honda and unfortunately, she expired from her injuries. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center located in the city of Santa Ana with severe injuries as well. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the injured and deceased party in this accident.
There is no amount of compensation that can restore you to full health after a serious accident like the one above. Likewise, there is no amount of compensation that can bring a lost loved one back. However, a wrongful death claim for the loss of a loved one, or a personal injury claim for your serious injuries, can be the first step in the healing process. It is unfair for an injured party to be responsible for the massive medical bills and damages caused by the negligence and fault of another party. In a wrongful death cause of action, the injured party (typically the family members or spouse of the deceased) can even be compensated back for the funeral expenses related to the loss.
