Several Injured in Anaheim Freeway Accident Involving Truck & Several Cars

An accident on the 91 freeway near the I-5 exchange in Anaheim this week sent several people to the hospital with serious injuries.  The accident involved a commercial truck and several cars, and occured around 3:30 in the afternoon.  Several victims were removed from the scene to local hospitals as one car wound up partially under the truck, and another was on two wheels crushed between the truck and a concrete barrier.

Anaheim, and the intersection of the 91 freeway and I-5 are hazardous and the site of many automobile and truck accidents throughout the year.  While the cause of the accident is still under investigation, the incident occured during heavy traffic when start-stop congestion is normal.  From the forces involved it appeared distracted driving and speed may have been involved.
