Edward Caban – The Uber Driver
We are proud to represent Edward Caban, the Uber driver who was viciously attacked by the former Taco Bell executive during a ride Friday, October 30. There are many developments in this fast moving case, and this page is designed to provide access to the latest updates from Mr. Caban’s perspective.
We share his concern for Uber drivers across the State of California and throughout the nation, and we will speak out on a few issues that have arisen directly from this case. There is no excuse for violent assault in today’s society, and there are civil laws here in California that protect our citizens, and allow us to hold attackers responsible for the injuries they cause and the emotional scars they leave behind.
Here are the most recent developments in his case:
February 8, 2016: We filed what is called a “Demurrer” to the lawsuit that was filed by Golden, in which we claimed that the Golden lawsuit was not adequately plead. The court ruled in our favor, and told Golden and his attorneys that they will have to amend their lawsuit if they are to proceed forward.
