Assaulted Uber Driver to Quit Job and Move Out of State

Edward Caban, the Uber driver who was assaulted by the former Taco Bell Executive during a ride Friday evening, October 30 is quitting his job and moving out of state. The trauma of the assault has affected his ability to sleep at night, and focus on tasks during the day. Mr. Caban has sought the assistance of professional counselors, and has decided to remove himself and relocate to a place where there is greater support from friends and family.

The attacker, Benjamin Golden, has been charged with four criminal offenses relating to the events recorded by Mr. Caban’s dash camera. Mr. Caban has filed a civil lawsuit against Mr. Golden, and will continue to pursue all legal remedies available under California law. Mr. Caban is represented by the Law Firm of Rivers J. Morrell, III who will remain as the primary point of contact for those wishing to reach Mr. Caban. He is declining requests for appearances at this time.
